Dell monitor 3D -WIP by MediaDesign Dell monitor 3D -WIP by MediaDesign
Here we go, my first ever published 3D model :D

So I bet you didn't know I've spent the last 4 months teaching myself modelling, texturing and rendering. I spent the past two nights modelling this monitor, but the texture is not finished. I just wanted to share what I've done so far, I'm quite excited how it's turned out.

This is the 30" dell monitor. I think they don't sell this model anymore, since I looked on their website and they have a new design. In my opinion this one looks so much better than their current, I'm annoyed they changed it.

Anyway, this could mean for some even better icons! I've found my new passion with 3D modelling, and who knows, maybe a HydroPRO version 3 might come out entirely modelled in 3D.

Is that the monitor you work with? I have Dual 20" HP monitors. I like the look of them but their not HD =[

... wait I remember you did a icon for them that is how I found you. Your icon is the first google image to pop up for HP Monitor, congrats.

Nah I wish I worked with this. However I don't think I'm doing too bad as I'm working with dual these: [link]
I'm not really fussed on whether a screen is HD or not, as long as it displays a clear image at a high resolution I'm fine with it.

Ha, I didn't know I had the first image on "hp monitor" search term. I have like 4th listed term for "dock icon" in Google search which is awesome :D

Well like any program once you get your head around the fundamentals it's like cruising down easy street from there on in. However I'm barely pro at it yet; all that is very much beginners work. It's funny but modelling is not even what half the work is; texturing is a whole other department and so is animation and rendering.

It's going to take years to at least get good at them :P
