Serenity Album by MediaDesign Serenity Album by MediaDesign
I sketched this, scanned it, and then digitally painted it in the span of ~5 hours. Is likely to be our duos first CD cover.

This is the first time I've ever attempted digital painting, or even sketching landscapes like this before. So... go easy on it :P

EDIT: I removed the lines..
EDIT2: Colour change, some brush changes and alterations

Love the free flowing movement of the entire piece A+ if this were done for a class :)

Question! Is that meant to be you in the pic, or just a random? If it is you, where's the girl? :D

This looks amazing!
I love the simplicity of the colors and the overall detail, while keeping it simple :P
Looks awesome :D
A bit weird dimensions for an album cover though...

Hehe thanks mate :D Appreciate the comment. The drawing will span the front and back cover, so it'll fit.

Ah ok, cool!
I wonder what it will look like when its all finished :)
Will you also add an image to the cd itself?

I'll eventually make some sort of rending of what it might look like when produced. And I will have something on the CD too, it'll likely just be along the lines as my previous deviation the Serenity logo; a notepad background with the logo.

Very well done for your first try. Looks lovely. I like your color choices. Too bad you can see the lined paper underneath. :D

Thankyou :) Actually the lined paper was an overlay in Photoshop. It was sort of a stylistic thing I was following. I could remove it if you like? I sat there for about 20 minutes swapping between having it on or off before deciding :P

Ah I see. I'm not sure b/c I don't know how the version looks without the lines. Although I don't think it looks wrong the way it does now.

Weeelll, I removed them anyway. I figured it overcomplicated the drawing :)
